Thierry Henry Practices with NYRB

Well, after watching this short clip I learned something:

1) Thierry Henry has mad foot skill
2) MLS players are still training/playing with a college mentality

Yeah, can barely keep the ball up in close quarters. I think these two need to get cut, or at best go home and practice for a few days then come back and try not to embarrass themselves.



I think this problem is emblematic of the mentality that US players bring to the game. They are too linear in thought: Take ball, run fast, shoot ball.

There is no focus on footwork or being creative with the ball. US Technical Director Claudio Reyna, I'm looking at you to maybe do something about this in the next generation of kids if we are truly going to get better.

Either way, enjoy. You get to see Henry in action against Tottenham Thursday night at 8pm EST on FSC.

    Well, I don't know if i feel good or bad the fact that those other 2 guys are no better than me at the juggling thing. The look on the kid's face to the left watching Henry is priceless. At leat American kids appreciate mad skills

    I don't know which is worse, the obvious lack of skill or US Technical Director Claudio Reyna. Way to look forward USSF.
