What are the matches to watch-
Tottenham v Inter Milan. Inter was linked to a few Spurs players this season. None have signed, but it may turn out Spurs have something to prove against the bigger team here. Expect a good hard match.

Chelsea v Spartak. Spartak has a knack for stepping up in big games against bigger opponents. With one leg being played in Chelsea owner Abramovich's backyard of Moscow, I think we will see a good match.

AC Milan v Real Madrid. Seriously? You need to ask? Well, with the Special One in charge of Real now and having coached Inter Milan up through last season, sparks are going to fly in this one. Perhaps the toughest group of the bunch.

So, which matchup are you anticipating?

1 comment:

  1. Barcelona and Arsenal got the soft draws. Group A is the toughest. Team to watch is Werder Bremen. Ask Eric why. We watched them beat Sampdoria the other day. Sampdoria had a 4-3 aggregate lead, were time wasting as only Italian teams can, until Werder Bremen's Swedish Rosenberg scored in the 93rd minute to force Extra Time, and then Peruvian Pizarro scored the match winner. 21 year old German Marko Marin was especially good on the wing. Werder Bremen can beat any team in that Group A.

So can FC Twente, for that matter. Tough Group.
