Final Day of EPL Transfers Today

Big bucks, no whammies...

It's down to the last day. 25 man rosters don't need to be officially set until tonight at midnight GMT (about 12pm EST, of course I may be off by an hour cause I haven't been to London for a few years and as long as the paperwork is in, the teams have time to negotiate terms...). That said this may be a little wild this afternoon, so be ready.

Harry Redknapp and Tottenham have already stated it will "be a quiet end to the transfer period" for them, which, knowing 'Arry, means that they finally finished the season long loan of Croatian keeper Pletikosa so don't call him a "wheeler dealer", may loan out Keane (the latest rumor is Besiktas) and the most surprising rumor being that they may pick up Liverpudian forward Ryan Babel for £10 million as he can play up top or on the wing (since denied by Babel himself). There is even talk of picking up SA defender Khumalo who recently trialed with Spurs.

Holloway and Blackpool are looking to seal up a move for 3-4 more players although Holloway admits that these will probably be foreign U21 players as they don't affect the roster for homegrown players or size limitations of 25 players.

Sunderland have supposedly wrapped up a deal for US killer Gyan, Ghanaian forward although the Sky Sports link is broken (possibly due to an update).

Stoke is talking to Gudjohnsen and Monaco about a one year loan (previously he played for Spurs on loan).

Liverpool brought in Fulham defender Konchesky for four years.

But, it's not all in the EPL. AC Milan want away, Huntelaar is moving to Schalke in a huge pickup after Milan brought in Ibrahimovic on season long loan.

Obviously, some of the moves aren't going to pan out, but hopefully, more do than naught.

I'm sure there will be more moves this afternoon, and I'll try to fill you in tonight on them...

Robinho is off to AC Milan for about 4yrs/£15mil.
