Going Back, Way Back, Back Into Time

We predict more vuvuzelas in your future...

Yeah, didn't think you got enough of them, did you you? It's now official, according to USSoccer.com's site, the US will replay South Africa in the Nelson Mandela Challenge on November 17th.

So, what's in it for us? Well, aside from possibly swaying another vote our way for the December vote of the 2022 Bid, not a whole heck of a lot. It is a FIFA date, so players are technically available, BUT, are they really going to want to go to SA mid season? Not bloody likely.

We expect an almost exclusively MLS filled lineup with some token foreign leaguers, perhaps Ruelas or anyone else we might be wanting to tie down to our USMNT. It's not like Bafana Bafana are bad, or that it's winter again (it's not, it'll be summer then). Not really excited about having to mute the tv again, and I'm sure that the players aren't the happiest that we'll now have been to SA twice in 1 year and 4 times in 3 years (Last Nelson Mandela Challenge in 2007, Confed Cup 2009, WC 2010, then this Challenge).

All we have to say is we better sure as heck get the 2022 bid for all this kowtowing.
