How bout getting a loan to Holland for the remainder of the season?
Onyewu is on his way to Holland after securing a loan move to FC Twente (they could have used his help during the CL campaign). This move, though, was for defensive coverage after losing to of their 1st team defenders to injury earlier this month in training.
The FC Twente article doesn't say much other than reference his 160 appearances in the Jupiler League for Standard Liege and how he's scored 12 times in his career.
Honestly, great move on his part. I think he was getting in over his head in Italy, and he is too slow for Spain. France and Belgium are more developmental leagues before the better players are sold on. Holland fits his skill set and he'll get first team action. Hopefully, he'll catch on and FC Twente will buy him out of the remainder of his Milan contract so he can get back to doing what he does best: play and beat the hell out of opposing forwards.
