A Mediapart article was released today stating that there has been an institutionalized racial discrimination setup in the training of French players for years and collusion between the FFF and former NT coach Laurent Blanc. The claim states that the FFF set a limit of 30% on black and north African decent players in the national training program and this limit was implemented as players reached the 12-13 year age range.
The supposed rationale is that many of the black and north African decent players have dual nationaility and decide to go on to play for their other country when they don't receive as much playing time as they deserve. We offer you this example of why that may not be a rational argument.
Last night, Real Salt Lake hosted Monterrey in the second leg of the CONCACAF Champions League final, bringing a 2-2 aggregate score into Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy Utah. It looked as if RSL would break Mexico's five year winning streak in the CCL, as they only needed a tie to win the title.
Didn't seem like too long ago that Holden was injured yet again. Here's a little something to get you caught up with the USMNT midfielder during his recovery:
I had a torn ACL and meniscus myself, and didn't get the use of the stretcher that he has for his leg, but I'll tell you regardless, the road to recovery on a knee injury is painful and long. Best wishes to Stewie making yet another comeback from an injury caused by someone else's recklessness.
From the files of "wow", comes the engineering design of three Harvard women and the use of kinetic energy to generate power in third world countries. It's called the 'Soccket Ball'. Cool.
