Well That Was Quick

In a matter of 48hrs, MLS announced that LA Galaxy's Omar Gonzalez would go out on two month loan to the Bundesliga's FC Nurnberg.

Just hours ago, they announced that Omar would be returning home after sustaining a left ACL tear during a collision with USMNT right back Timothy Chandler.

Typically, a recovery time of 4-6 months is expected on ACL repairs, but that assumes that all goes well, and there are no additional issues such as meniscus damage (which I had to go with my lovely right ACL tear).

Via Omar's twitter:
Still in shock that this happened. Your support and well wishes will carry me through a strong (and hopefully quick) recovery!
Well, that sucks. Here's to hoping he recovers well and this doesn't become a chronic injury thing like John O'Brien or what keeps happening to Stuart Holden.

A World Without Football

This is just funny from Darren Farley and much props go out to TheOriginalWinger for finding this gem:

EPL: Bolton v Everton Highlights

Landycakes on for the full 90' and a freak goal by Tim Howard weren't enough for Everton as they drop the points to Bolton, 2-1.

EPL: Manchester United v Newcastle Highlights

It wasn't even close. Ba scores yet again and to add insult to injury, Jones scores an own goal on Man U as Newcastle run out winners, 3-0 at home.

EPL: Tottenham v West Brom Highlights

Little used of late Defoe gets the solo goal in this less than inspiring performance (but puts Spurs just 3 back of 2nd place Man U).
